 Waste Collection  

The City of Melfort contracts with Greenland Waste to provide a manual waste collection system.
 

Fees:
Waste collection fees are included on your utility bill.
 
Single Family Dwelling Unit: $7.34/month
Apartments/Condominiums: $7.34/month/unit
Multi-Family Dwelling (4 units & under): $7.34/month/unit
Business/Commercial:
  • 1 pickup per week - $20.00/month/business*
  • 2 pickups per week - $40.00/month/business*
  • 3 pickups per week - $60.00/month/business*

    *includes the supply of 1 cart
     

    Residential Collection:
    Residential waste collection services are provided on a weekly basis, with all waste transported to the landfill. All waste and receptacles must comply with the Waste Collection & Disposal Bylaw. Containers must be set out by 7:30 a.m. on your scheduled day of pickup. Waste will be picked up between 8 am and 6 pm on a scheduled basis from Tuesday to Friday.
     
    The use of carts is optional for residential customers. If you wish to rent a cart, please contact Greenland Waste Inc. at 763-3133 or 921-8383.
     

    Commercial Collection:
    Commercial customers do have the option of opting out of City service and contracting directly with a commercial contractor for waste collection.
